Ghits.dk registers the number of results from the major search engines, Google, Yahoo and MSN, for searches with given key words. The number of results is identical to the number given at the top of the pages, when you perform the search.

It may be argued that this number is not very accurate. Especially for Google searches, some fluctuations are seen on the graphs. However, ignoring the 'noise', the results will give a good indication of the number of pages containing the search words.

It should be noted that this site does not use the Google API.

For the news searches, the results are limited to cover news published within the last 7 days. This gives a quite accurate figure of the key word's current exposure in the press. Here the trends are indicated by arrows.
